Olympic Torch Cost

The cost of carrying the Olympic Torch through the capital has been revealed with Watham Forrest the most expensive borough in London.

They spent over a quater of a million pounds for the parade which also included an after party event.

In Barking and Dagenham it was £57,000, Havering £49,000 and Redbridge £30,000.

Camden spent £123,000 which didn’t include a party with the City of London splashing out £61,000.

Giant Sleepover

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton is urging Essex childrent to join a nationwide sleepover to raise money for charity.

The Giant Sleepover will be one of the worlds largest taking place at select venue’s across the country in support of Unicef.

Taking place on Saturday the 22nd of June thousands kids across the globe will gather for the fundraiser.

Children must enter a story or drawing of their dream sleepover which will then be judged by the the panel including Emma Bunton.

Kids wanted for Grays panto

The Thameside Theatre in Grays are  recruiting for youngsters to be part of a run of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Polka Dot Pantomimes and Thurrock Council will be presenting the show across the Christmas period and are looking for kids 8 and above for singing, dancing and various other roles.

Auditions are taking place on Saturday the 22nd of June from 10.00am – 1.00pm.
