Police Appealing for Witnesses after Sexual Assault

A woman in her 20′s has been sexually assaulted in Brentwood.
 
Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault at 12.15am on Friday, June 29, at a bus stop in Shenfield Road.
 
The man is described as white, aged in his late 40s to early 50s, 5ft 10ins tall, of stocky build but not fat. He had a square-type face, a flat nose, blue eyes, close shaved hair and a stubbly ginger beard.

The man also wore a diamante stud earring in his left ear, a black or navy hooded tip with a white emblem, blue jeans and black Nike shoes, not trainers.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact officers from the Sexual Offences Investigation Team at Brentwood on 101.

Benefit Fraudster Led ‘Jet-Setting’ Double Life Claims Havering Council

A woman from Hornchurch who claimed more than £165,000 in benefits has been accused of leading a ‘jet-setting’ double life by Havering council.

45 year-old Maxine Kemp admitted fradulently stealing the money over a 20-year period.

The council claimed it uncovered Kemp’s ‘double life’ of expensively furnished home and ‘numerous holidays abroad’.

She started claiming benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions in 1991.

After marrying Frederick Kemp she began claiming housing and Council tax benefits for a single person.

Mrs Kemp’s fraud was uncovered when the council carried out a credit check  which revealed she was living with her husband.

Barking and Dagenham Tops Repossession Hotspot List

Barking and Dagenham has the highest risk of repossession in England, new research reveals.

The research is based on the number of ‘repossession claims’ issued in each Local authority in England during 2011-2012.

The number of repossesions in the Borough is more than twice as high as the national average.

Thurrock was named as another borough in the Top 5 repossession hotspots along with Lewisham, Knowsley and Rossendale in the North West.
