Havering College Offering Advice for Students
Havering College of Further and Higher Education will be offering a Saturday out-of-hours office service for young people at results time.
The college will offer the service to A-level and GCSE students who are waiting to receive their results in August.
This is the first time the college will be offering the service on a Saturday, with one session on August 18, and another on August 25, both from 10am to 2pm.
Wendy Rowlatt, the Further Education Admissions and Enrolment Manager for the college, spoke to Time FM:
“If they get their results and they’re unhappy or they didn’t perhaps get what they wanted they can come along and see an advisor.
“If they’ve had a change of decision regarding their course they can speak to them and make an informed choice.
“We have advisors that are able to talk them through their options and give them information and get them on the right road to reach their goals and get to where they want to be.”
The college is also running extended post-results open events on Thursday August 16, and Thursday August 23 from 12 noon to 8pm.
All enrolment advice sessions are taking place at the Havering College Ardleigh Green Campus, in Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch.

Olympic campers in Wanstead have been described as “quiet as church mice”.

However those who joined the visitors for an opening ceremony party said the campers were “really nice people”.
